This term in 5/6EL and 5/6SK we are finally getting underway with our GENIUS plans! You’ve probably heard about them. We have been very busy making, drawing, creating, ideating, modelling and constructing to demonstrate our GENIUS. Last term we spent a lot of time and put a lot of effort into planning GENIUS hour projects that not only align with our passions, but teach us something and require us to produce something. We presented these to the classes for approval and were very excited to get started.

Miss Laby
Kasey, Kieran and myself are working on a project called footbasket. Our end project will be a fuseball table. We will have a progress video, our goal for 2 weeks will be to finish painting our box. So far we have got all our things we need and some painting done.
Genius Hour
For Genius Hour we are making a cooking show.
Episode 1 with High tea scones
Episode 2 kids party cupcakes
Episode 3 normal vanilla cupcakes
Our show is called The Cupcake Club.
We are planning to post it on
Youtube to see how many hits we get!

Hi guys,
For Genius Hour we are creating a house.
We have painted the flooring. Today we are hoping to paint the walls white.
The next three tasks we will need to do are:
1. Cut and stick the boxes (house) together
2. Make the dividing walls
3. Start making furniture
Our goal is to have a house with furniture throughout the whole house. Plus a backyard and front yard.

For genius hour Noah, Eliot, Ned and Oskar are creating a lego movie. Its story is about an ordinary farmer whose world has changed from a peaceful farm to a destructive fight between good and evil. We have accomplished a whole minute of movie making whilst working as a team directing and using our motives.
Layla, Olivia and I are doing a cooking show called sugar and spice, we are doing two episodes, in one of them we are doing chocolate coconut balls, and in the other we are doing strawberry cupcakes. We will be videoing them in the kids kitchen with the iPad. Right now we are writing the script for our show, and we’re going to start videoing hopefully next week.
Go kart

Lachlan , Aidan and I have decided to spend our 12 hours working towards making a go kart. So far we have got designs and measurements. We will need nails, wood, wheels, rope, seats and some cushions. We also hope to make a procedure on how to make a go kart.
For Genius Hour this semester we will be making games. We are going to make a Classic Shooter, A Physics Game and a 3D Adventure Creator on Sploder.
So far we have researched what type of game is most popular and found an online game creator called Sploder. We have all started to create our games.
Our next step is to try and get to level 2 of Sploder by creating more games.

Olivia Alex and I are currently working on the script and bloopers for our cooking show. After we do those things we will start filming, and if we finish it with time left over we will be filming another episode.
Kasey , Kieran and myself are still working on our project called
footbasket we are almost finished painting, we jest need to put the eyes on the pegs, and put the pegs on the poles and set up the goals.
At the moment kasey is working on the ramps and Kieran and I are painting.

Lachlan and I have made our designs and going to make a procedure about making our go kart. We hope to get some materials to school by Thursday and use our procedure. by the and we will have made 1 possibly 2 go karts.

Zoe and I are working on our back drop and Kate is making the script.
In the past 6 weeks of Genius Hour Olivia and I have been working on our Walt Disney game board. We have made all of the cards and are up to making the money and a couple of other things. Our finishing product will be a full sized game board with money, cards and some characters.
